Our Beliefs
About God the Father
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. He is completely loving and completely holy and desires to be our gracious and merciful Heavenly Father who cares for us and makes a way for us to have a relationship with Him.
God the Son
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days conquering sin and death, ascending to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. Until then, we desire a relationship with God the Father through His Son, Jesus.
God the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of our need for Jesus Christ in a real and authentic relationship. He also dwells within every Believer from the moment of salvation by faith. He provides the Christ follower with power for living, understanding spiritual truths and with guidance in applying God’s Word and truth to our every day lives. The Christ follower seeks to live under His Lordship daily.
The Bible
The Bible is God’s accurate, authoritative, applicable and living Word to all people everywhere throughout the world. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit (in essence, inspired by God). It is the supreme source of truth for the Christ follower’s morals, belief systems and character as we work, live and serve in community with Him and each other.
Salvation
Salvation is a gift from God to all people. We can never earn it through performance or good works. Only by trusting and receiving new life through Jesus Christ, as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from the consequences of sin. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by faith, usually moving towards Jesus through a prayer of repentance of our disbelief and sin and accepting Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died for our sins (wrong beliefs and actions) and wants us to enter into a personal relationship of faith with Him.
Eternity
We all were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. The place of eternal separation from God is called Hell while Heaven is the place of eternal union and eternal life with God.
The Church
We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer, worship and the sharing of God’s Word. We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives, whether at work, church, with family or friends by sharing the love of Christ and actively living out the commissions that God has given us. We desire to know and worship God, and fulfill our role in the Church by serving the community and world in which we live according to God’s Word and example.
