What to Expect at Explore Community Church

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? I don’t know anyone or where do my kids go? We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit us. To help you with this we have answered a few frequently asked questions below and if you have any additional questions, please contact us via phone or email so we can assist you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

When is the service? Sundays at 10:00am

How do I get to Explore? We meet at 251 Palomar Street, Chula Vista view map

Where should I park?

The large parking lot, near the corner of 3rd Ave. & Palomar St., is available (view parking map below). However, please note that as you attend one of our service(s), kindly avoid parking in the designated parking spaces marked out/labeled specifically for our neighboring businesses during their hours of operation.

What should I wear?

We are a casual come as you church; so wear whatever you are comfortable in (jeans, shorts, dresses, casual wear or dress up if that’s how you feel comfortable at church); you’ll find that you fit in no matter how you dress.

Where do my child(ren) go?

You can take your child(ren) to one of the designated room(s) that we are using on Sundays for our Children’s Ministry; there are signs to direct you along the way. Once there, you will sign your child(ren) in, fill out a form that lets us know how we can better care for your child(ren) by knowing of allergies or special needs, then you are free to enjoy the service. Once service is over, kindly pick up your child(ren) immediately after the service. And then, feel free to hang out for a few minutes on our patio after picking up your child(ren) from the same room you had dropped them off. Currently, Children’s Ministry is available for children ages 4 years (and potty-trained) to the 6th grade. We also have care for parents with younger children ages 2–3 years.

What is Explore’s service like?
We encourage everyone to engage in worship experiences together; we also use an outline format during the message to help you follow along with the teaching and encouragement of the day. You are welcome to grab a cup of coffee before or after our service.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to give in the offering; you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider Explore your home church, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider donating. You can give by check or cash during the service, or you can give online HERE.

Relevance:

We actively seek to reach and meet practical and spiritual needs across the generations with a simple and practical message; you can refer to it from your outline throughout the week, share it with a friend or apply it to the many opportunities that will arise within family, work, school or other life moments you come into contact with. Our goal is that we learn and are encouraged together, and then we go out and be a light in our community as we practice what we learned.

We hope we were able to answer some of your questions as you begin your adventure in finding a church family you can belong to.  We look forward to meeting you and helping you in your faith journey!
